Last months movie attendance reached 350 spectators

Don’t miss out on the summer fun happening in downtown Greenville on Thursday, July 15th. The Third Thursdays of the summer months, Main Street Greenville will provide a free movie on a two story inflatable screen on East 5th Street between S. Broadway and Walnut Street.

The movie will be The Lion King (Rated G; 89 minutes; 1994)

The community is encouraged to make Third Thursdays a family night during the summer. Downtown restaurants near 5th Street will be open with summer specials for the whole family. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for an evening under the stars with great downtown atmosphere. East 5th Street between S. Broadway and Walnut will close at 7:30 pm with the movie starting approximately at 8:30 pm.

The August movie has not been picked yet. A new poll will go up on DarkeJournal.com after the July movie for the community to again determine next month’s flick.

Main Street Greenville thanks this year’s Flicks on 5th sponsors; Harry D. Stephens Foundation, GTI, Greenville National Bank, Leis Realty, Kiwanis Club of Greenville, Law Office of Jason Aslinger, Buchy Foods, Rep. Jim Zehringer, Steve and Eileen Litchfield and John & Ginger Warner.
